Make_a_Mole

Ok, so, for our new chemistry unit we have to make a mole. Mine didn't end up looking like a mole so much, but eh. I think it worked out pretty well. Nothing wrong with taking a few creative liberties on a project meant more for fun, I figure. some pictures of the process:

Cutting out the Initial pattern from some furry felt stuff

Bit of a large jump here, I forgot to take pictures of the sewing or stuffing process. To explain, the body looked mainly like a potato mixed with a seal, so I kinda went overboard with the creativity in the direction of a whale. I'd say it's an ocean themed mole. This was probably the point at which I could no longer make it a normal mole.

...It's too far gone. The flippers are bad enough, but... The six eyes. and the weird spiky ish tail, m.. It's more of a demon potato fish now... I'll stick with an ocean themed mole. With some accessories.

Ok, weird small plush animal aside, here is an article about atomic mass and measurement which was interesting, and had a section on Avogadro and gave some comparisons to help fully understand how small an atom is. This is the article.
