So yesterday we started a stoichiometry lab , and today was the second day of it.
Here is the nail in the solution on the first day
And here's what appears to be some sort of sea sponge in a jar
I was surprised that so much copper precipitated (I think I've horribly misused that) in such a relatively short amount of time. I was also surprised sulfur ate so much iron off the nail by binding with it.
Awesome photos. This lab was very interesting how we got a sea sponge from a nail and copper chloride. The different colored solutions looked awesome too.
Wow! That is a lot of copper. My group did not get as much copper as you. I still thought the lab was cool and pretty fun. I am also kinda jealous of your sea sponge.
