Memory
Okay honestly my memory is completely shot right now, so I'm just gonna recap what we've done for the measurement unit. Oh yeah, we covered dimensional analysis today. I don't fully understand why it's called that, but I'm too tired to be bothered to do any research right now. So, we've covered the differences between physical and chemical properties, significant digits, conversions, lots of prefixes which indicate the unit (ARTICLE), and I don't really remember anything else. I think the dimensional analysis went along with the conversions... Off topic note: I remember I used to not like After the Burial or stuff like that, but now I really do. I don't remember how long ago it was that I last listened to them, but I'm pretty sure I liked Periphery and Born of Osiris back then, so between the two, I don't see why I wouldn't like After the Burial. I probably just didn't listen long enough to get into the real music, which is stupid and I hope none of you ever do that. Of course, I'm fairly certain none of you like any "metal" type music, though it's such a broad genre description, some of you may like it but still dislike what I'm talking about. Ok I've only been writing about music for like a couple of minutes but it already has more content then what is supposed to be a summary of the whole unit/chapter whatever it is. So, differences between chemical and physical properties. If you can determine the property without changing the material, it's a physical change. Or something like that. Off topic note dos, am I supposed to be writing more formally for these? I really do kinda treat this like a journal, except it's mandatory and increases stress instead of relieving it. But it's school, so that's nothing unusual. AAAAANNNNYYYYWWWAAAAAYYYYYYY ok so what's next. Significant digits. There are a lot of rules for these that I can't be bothered to recall right now, much less bother to type them out. Somethin about if they're caged they're significant and whatnot. Next up to be horribly covered, conversions. Kill it, kill it with fire! Last year I always got points taken off because I didn't use the proper format for conversion equations (here they're apparently called equality statements) and I didn't ever show my units until I had the finished product. You know, the only part that's actually important. And finally, the lots of prefixes. Kilo hecto deka base deci centi milli micro nano pico or somethin like that. illuminate confirmed pls forget to scrubscrib

I certainly hope that these posts do not have to be formal because mine are not very. I also can concur that I do not listen to your "metal" type music but quite enjoyed the aside you added in the mix with a helpful review. At first earlier this year, I did not understand conversions whatsoever. They didn't quite make sense to my unique brain in general but as Zimmerman taught it to us it is finally making more sense, which I am very happy about. Enjoy your "metal" music, and I will stick with my alternative.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel when you say that your memory is totally wiped, because I need to have notes down so I can still learn, but also need to make sure that I am comprehending things as she says them. I think I'm getting a handle on the content of the notes and will be able to not fail the test tomorrow. Speaking of the test, she said that the most important conversions to remember are temperature and that 2.54 centimeters is equal to 1 inch. Good luck to all.
